Warfare/Work/Worship

(Full version available on Compact Disk or Cassette)

Intro Verse:

  • 1 Thessalonians 1:2,3 – “We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Coming At You Live:

  • Tri-W Faith = Warfare, Work, Worship = Faith
  • This is the “Tri-W Faith” session. This is a three-part Session (Compact Disk or Cassette) that will cover faith & how it plays a part in Warfare, Work, & Worship. *A Tri-Cord is not easily broken.
  • As we begin this session on the warfare portion, we are under attack. As we put in the work, satan is trying to bring in the warfare, but “it’s all good” because they defeated the dragon through the Blood of the Lamb & the Word of our Testimony. In this “warfare” part of the session we will be covering a little bit of the “Tri-W Faith” & how it plays a part in work.

(2nd Track)

- “I Declare War (Light Shine)” – Sinners Prayer: Various Hip Hop Artists – http://www.sphereofhiphop.com

As We Get Into This:

·        We’re going to hit you up with some mad live info. Even as we are playing these tracks, we’re going through the warfare, already.

·        Warfare – The act of waging war; Conflict, struggle – A lot of times in our Christian walk satan tries to bring the warfare, but we got the victory in Christ Jesus!!! – We always go through struggle, suffering, satan knows our weaknesses and likes to attack in that area of weakness. He provokes you to go against the Lord in each & every possible way. He likes to attack us at night & when we are tired, weak, & alone. When you are lonely he likes to send out his army & we know that in warfare the enemy likes to do “surprise attacks.” He has one third of the fallen angels at his disposal to attack at any given moment, but in all, we have to remember that we have the victory in Christ.

·        Revelation 12:11,12satan already knows that he has but a short time left so he is going to do all to knock us out of the frame, but we have to remember that we have the victory in Christ as long as we abide in his Word. Sometimes our walk can be overbearing so when we look up at the mountain and we see the rugged terrain it looks impossible to climb to us. This can be compared to our Christian living as when we slip, trip and fall making many mistakes but if you really think about it we have already made it to the top through our Lord Jesus Christ’s victory. We have been challenged to step up to the mountain and climb it otherwise we can’t reach the goal set before us by the Lord so we have to trust the God to help us through it all. The battle belongs to the Lord because he fights our battles for us but we still have to do some of the work. – Christ reveals to us how to have the victory, i.e. The LORD reveals to one of his servants how to attain the soldiers he would need, the ones who would fight valiantly to the end. So the point here is that the victory is already there all you have to do is submit yourself to God. Another example would be when David slew Goliath, the giant, it took faith and submission to God in order to defeat the giant.

·        Joshua 8:18,19 – The Lord gave Joshua specific instructions in order to overcome the enemy and win the battle.  Joshua did as he was instructed by the Lord and had the victory by ambushing his enemy.  The Lord will give you specific and direct orders through the Word of God; these are the tactics to fight any battle.

·        Ephesians 6:12-18 – You need to wear the full armor of God, which includes, “the helmet of salvation” = The blood of the Lamb, “the breast plate of righteousness” = Doing what’s right, “the belt of truth” = keeps you upright, “Sandals of peace” = walking in the gospel of peace, “the shield of faith” = provides you with a hedge of protection (*faith will keep you from satan’s fiery darts which are all the negative things, we like to call them “dream killers”), “the sword of the Spirit” = the Word of God – This is the justification of the Lord so pray at all times. –The lord hears you at all times, no matter what you’re going through, so we should pray without ceasing. We have to watch out for each other because there are two types of people, those who are prideful & those who are humble. We, as soldiers in Christ, have to be humble towards one another & wash each other’s feet because if we do not, we could cause our brothers to be in danger. Satan tries looking for your weakness & tries to find your position in the Lord whether you’re in God’s will or not.  In this time of temptation all you can do is cry out to the Lord for help. The Lord knows when his children are in trouble & in giving it all up to the Lord he sends his protection over you so that you will not be harmed. – Nobody really wants to go to war, but it’s something that we have to do because the Lord asks us to do certain things. For this purpose we have to go to certain training, “spiritual boot camp” if you will, & this process is spiritually & physically challenging. In the military everything they teach you is to help keep you & those around you safe. (Watch out for your brother) If your not watching out, then who is? The Lord is out to recruit an army, but he wants an army that’s willing to “fight the good fight,” we just have to be ready & willing. We are doing this work right now so satan will be trying to attack, but through the grace of God & all for His glory He’s allowed us to be here and has provided us with all that we have. All Praise be to God.

·        Satan just dropped something off of the dresser to try to divert us because we are doing the work, but as I looked up I saw that little bugle which means it’s time to call them out to warfare, it’s time for action.

(3rd Track)

- “Squadron” – The Seed: Mr. Rogers a.k.a. Coleonhttp://www.syntaxrecords.com/

Dealing With Warfare:

·                    Warfare – Armed conflict between two groups of states or state of opposition; hostility. In the past few weeks we have been dealing with warfare in many different ways. These battles have consisted of many types of influential spirits that have crossed our path. (i.e. lust, anger, loneliness, etc.) – In these types of environments, you have to posses the right tools for warfare. The environment in which you are in is very important. If you are a Christian that is not very steadfast or strong & you put yourself in a position where you are surrounded by influences and where you are most likely to sin, chances are that you will fall into that temptation. You have to have the right tools in that environment because you will get ambushed behind enemy lines. Sometimes you deal with these influences in your work/school environment, but if you stay prayed up & have the word of God in your heart, then you are prepared to face whatever may come your way. Satan will always try to use those around and close to you such as family or friends that you have known forever to influence you and steer you astray, but as long as you walk in the light, the Lord will strengthen you.

  • 1 Peter 2:11 – Abstain from the sinful desires because they war against your soul & do good deeds so that others may see you doing the Lord’s work.
  • 1 Corinthians 1:18 – Influence is not only directed from others towards self, but also self influence coming from within and if you do not listen to what the scripture says, you will fall into temptation. By following what is in the word of God & letting the Lord know what you are going through, the Lord will deliver you from that temptation to keep you from sinning. A lot of times when you’re weak & you see others having fun it makes you feel left out, but if you have the Word of God in your heart, you will turn them down & walk away from that pride because pride as we know comes before the fall. A man’s steps are ordered by the Lord, how then can a man understand his own way. - If you follow man’s will rather than the Lord’s will, then you’re like a lamb being led to the slaughter.
  • Proverbs 11:12 – Pride makes you stumble, so you have to walk in humility, wisdom & stand in your faith. When Jesus was getting tempted he used the Word of God to fight against satan because even satan knows the scripture. Your faith is one of the strongest things you have against the fiery darts that the enemy throws at you.
  • Isaiah 54:17 – No matter how the enemy may try to come against you with everything he can to make you stumble, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Standing steadfast in faith and in the Word of God, you don’t have to worry about the attacks of the enemy because there is nothing that God cannot handle.
  • 2 Corinthians 10:3-6  - There is a major war going on & we have to prepare ourselves with the armor of God. This battle is not against flesh & blood, but the things of this world or anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ. In warfare you have to have the proper attire, therefore being clothed with Christ. (The Battle Armor) - You must take in the food and eat it at the right time. You cannot eat food in the middle of a battle. In the middle of the battle you take precaution against the enemy because the enemy is expecting to catch you off guard. You have to make sure that you have the right tools, equipment & weaponry for battle, but sometimes that heavy baggage can also cause you to stumble. That baggage can be the Word of God or it can also be your problems & things that you carry around with you. This baggage can cause you to be armed & prepared against the enemy or it can cause you to stumble & fall because it becomes an overwhelming obstacle that weighs you down. Instead of carrying that excess baggage just give it up to the Lord. We have to have support from people that we can trust in the Lord & get godly council and help us to stand firm in his word so that we can keep from falling. Without that help we would wind up as a fallen soldier in war.
  • Proverbs 19:27 – It’s easy to stray away. Being a soldier in Christ we need to know the chain of command & to realize “who is leading who” & you have to know who is leading you. If you have no clue then you are lost. Your leader has the say over everything you do and he makes sure that you are not lost. If you cease listening to your instruction then you become lost, so be encouraged and keep listening.

(4th Track)

- “Who’s really representing?” – Mark of the East Compilation: Emcee Precise & Bobby Young– Severe Entertainment Presents: Mark Of The East Compilation, MP3 Album Music Download at eMusic

It’s Not Hard To See Who’s Really Representing:

·        It’s not hard to see who’s representing. All you need is to be submissive to the Lord. In warfare, you have to take orders from the main person that is in charge & when taking orders you have to make sure that you are in one accord, in submission, and have patience with the person in charge & your fellow soldiers. You have to work together in organization & good communication in so that you remain working together in one accord.

·        Romans 8:5,6 - We all know that the battle is in the mind & that’s where satan tries to influence us the most. He’s constantly around you trying to get you to do things that you shouldn’t be doing, especially if you are walking in the Spirit of Truth. Live according to the Spirit, if you walk by faith & in the Spirit of God, then you’re not going to fall in to the lust of the flesh.

·        1 Timothy 4:7 – Keep your mind off of what the world offers & anything that dwells in worldly ways, the scripts say, love not the things of this world because it’s easy to fall back into the worldly ways. Keep your eyes on the master & follow him because He won’t lead you wrong, He has all the answers. –When you follow the instruction of the Lord it is to prepare you for the next move. When instruction is given to you, it is just a little part in a big plan that affects everyone. We have to be in unity & work together in submission because whatever part you have in the war affects the person next to you. If I make an unwise decision & decide to go against the Word of God, then I could influence my own brother to fall. Submission allows us to be of the same mind & causes us to learn patience. In patience you learn to be strategic & learn to carry out the Word of God because that allows us to live in accordance to the Word of God.

·        Proverbs 23:1 – Listen to the instruction that is placed before you and no matter what situation you are confronted with, it is important that you follow through with God’s will like Shadrach, Meshach, & Abed-nego. (Daniel 2:49 – 3:30) Some day the Lord will show us how real His word is because every word in the scripture is anointed and inspired by the Lord. We must take up our sword daily & use it against anything that tries to come against the Lord’s servants, not against your brothers and sisters.

·        Ecclesiastes 3:8 – There is a time for everything. Sometimes we tend to get self-righteous and we tend to use the Word of God to go against everything before us, but we are doing this without brotherly love. We must remember that the Lord tells us that “love” is the most important characteristic of a believer & we should therefore conduct our manners in a loving way. –There are a few practical approaches to correct thinking and we must realize that we are all going through the same type of things. We are doing this to spread the “good news” for the Lord & to help out our fellow brothers and sisters. We have to be renewed in our minds. When we are out witnessing, we need to be sure to claim our faith in front of those who do not believe. Reading the Word of God will help us to renew ourselves and our minds as it states in Ephesians 4:23.

·        Isaiah 29:14 – If you take the wrong steps it may be fatal, so in following the Lord you must listen and learn to understand all his directives. If you stay in the light, you won’t be guided into the darkness. The map has been laid out for you, which is his Word as you walk down the narrow path. Sometimes the narrow path seems hard to follow, but you just have to take it one step at a time. While you are taking one step at a time, you’ll find yourself doing more of the Lord’s work following by faith others that are leading in the right direction. Don’t be overwhelmed by the warfare you are going through God is in control and he fights your battles with you and always for you to be victorious.

·        1 John 5:4 – If you are born of God, you have overcame the world. If you know these things, blessed are you that do them. (John 13:17)

(5th Track)

Some Mad Info - To Sum It Up A Bit:

·        Be sure to tune in to the next part of the “Tri-W Faith” session entitled, “Tri-W Faith: Work (part 2)” in the “Tri-W Faith Trilogy” set (Compact Disc or Cassette) & be sure to check back frequently on our website for updates.

·        “A Tri-Cord is not easily broken.” Fellowship with Christians that you could trust, fight this battle with, are in the same faith, & that you are in one accord with. This will help you all to be encouraged and stand steadfast in the Lord.

·        Galatians 4:16 – The truth is light and darkness hates the light. Remind yourselves always to stay in the light as everything that’s in darkness, will be revealed by the light.

·        Tactics: If you are not sure what tactics to use, get with a leader in the church or someone who’s been in Christ for a while so that you can get the right tactics to fight the battle. This is a real war and you have to have the right tactics to win otherwise you loose. We’ve all lost battles, stumbled, & have fallen into temptation and sin, but he allows us, by his grace, to get back up and he promises to forgive us if we ask for forgiveness when we do fall. We have to remember that, if we do fall or loose a battle because of the influences of the flesh and of this world, his grace & his mercy is always there & we can go to him for anything. We win the war by his joy, his peace, & his love.

·        Psalms 138:7 – Anyone who has fallen away and who is listening to these Tapes, CDs or Reading these Documents and feel they are lost at war, then you should remember that the Lord is always going to be there with you. He leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one lost sheep. If you feel that the Lord is calling you back home, then just be submissive to him. Open up your heart to him & tell him, “Lord, I’ve gone so far away and I’m ready to come back.” We have to stay encouraged and if you don’t have anyone to encourage you, then just pray for someone. Prayer is also used as a weapon. Sometimes when you are a newborn Christian, you feel like you‘ve been dropped off in the middle of a desert. You don’t know where to go & everyone’s just looking at you like, “Look at the rookie.” Alone in these types of situations could cause you to spiritually die, so it is very beneficial to pray to the Lord to send someone to help you & keep you encouraged. This way you won’t be caught up in loneliness and so that you might have someone to help guide you through certain situations.

·        We all help each other out. The Lord brought us together to fight this battle & to help others out as well. Pray for us as we pray for you, that the Lord may keep us in his work and keep us strong.

·        Philippians 3:12 – We have to press on together & we have many battles and a long way to go and we trust in the Lord that he may help us through it all.

·        Psalm 18:35 – Remember to be encouraged & not give up. Always look ahead and never look back because the Lord has plans for you & the world has nothing to offer you that is fulfilling.

·        Philippians 4:8,9  – We are all soldiers in Christ & struggling & if we die in the process of war, you know that we’re going to live with Christ in his honor & glory, entering the heavenly gates. - Stay focused on the word, the truth & fellowship with other believers because it is important for your spiritual nourishment.
